Stronger SEO in seconds: Storemapper now integrates with Google Business Profile

Because many Storemapper customers already utilize Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) to improve their online searchability, Storemapper saw an opportunity for a major integration win. At the start of 2025, the app introduced a one-click Google Business Profile integration to connect any business’s Google listings directly with the platform. Now, companies can instantly add Google details to their Storemapper account, including address, directions, ratings, and hours.
Before this integration, businesses used two methods for adding their locations to Storemapper: either entering each one manually or uploading via spreadsheet. The new integration speeds up this lengthy process; what took users 30-40 minutes in the past can now be done in less than five, even for businesses with thousands of locations. In addition, the integration also automates upkeep with a new auto-sync feature that allows changes made on Google Business Profile to automatically be reflected on Storemapper.
BarathRam explains that users can also choose which Google Profile elements are displayed on Storemapper as well: “Reviews and business hours are so important now. Before going to a restaurant or a shop, people check reviews first; it’s the same behaviour everywhere. So we built an option to import those too, and let users enable or disable them as needed.”
Since the integration’s launch, adoption has been high. Businesses appreciate being able to manage their location data from one place, whether through Google or Storemapper. It’s an easy way to improve credibility through up-to-the-minute data accuracy and better local SEO.
Reaching more customers, in more places
At the end of 2024, Storemapper began rolling out its new multilingual capabilities, beginning with a push into the South American market. The opportunity came through a partnership with Nuvemshop (also known as Cloud Shop), a popular eCommerce platform in the region. They invited Storemapper to integrate with their marketplace, which set the stage for something much bigger.
As the team prepared for launch, it quickly became clear that users would need better language accessibility. Most users on the platform rely on Portuguese, so Storemapper decided to take a step beyond simple text translation in favour of building out proper multilingual support. This led to the creation of dedicated landing pages for each language, starting with Portuguese and expanding into more than 15 languages across platforms.
"We saw a clear uptick in new customers after launching multilingual support, especially through Shopify.” BarathRam shared with us. “It’s made a real difference in both growth and revenue. Now we're live in many languages across platforms like Shopify, Wix, and more."
With its added language capabilities, Storemapper has greatly increased accessibility for global users. As well, the creation of local-language pages within platforms like Shopify also gave a boost to the app's searchability for non-English speakers. This has led to a noticeable jump in visibility and installs.
A New Platform Partnership: Wix App Marketplace
Alongside the multilingual rollout, Storemapper has also sourced more customers through its official launch on the Wix App Marketplace. With Storemapper now listed directly on the marketplace, Wix eCommerce users no longer need to resort to manual workarounds to utilize Storemapper on their sites.
“We had a lot of customers using Wix already, but they were setting it up manually. Adding Storemapper to the Wix marketplace meant they could install it with a single click. That small shift really improved access for more users,” Barathram explains.
With the new multilingual options and marketplace listings, it’s much easier for users to discover and install Storemapper on their websites, further positioning the platform as a primary store locator app for businesses of all sizes across the globe.
Mission in motion: How GRIT uses Storemapper to expand access

In recent years, Storemapper’s versatile features and ease-of-use have made it a popular resource for purpose-driven brands looking to connect with their target audience. One such brand is GRIT, an outdoor wheelchair company that helps transform lives by increasing outdoor accessibility for folks with disabilities through their MIT-developed, all-terrain GRIT Freedom Chair. Designed to handle grass, gravel, dirt, packed beach sand, and more, the Freedom Chair helps thousands of people across the world to enjoy activities like hiking, sports, and other outdoor recreational pursuits that regular wheelchairs can’t handle.
GRIT’s work is centred on real-world connection. Many of their customers want to try out a chair before purchasing, which means that finding a location is an important part of their buyer journey. Storemapper helps make that possible by showing exactly where GRIT’s products are available, whether at a retailer, demo event, or partner organization.
“If someone says, ‘I don’t want to buy it online, I want to try it in a store,’ the best way is to show exactly where you’re available,” explains BarathRam.

For mission-driven businesses, accessibility and visibility are paramount. No matter their focus, these brands often rely on direct relationships with their customers. Storemapper helps bridge the gap between digital presence and real-world access by making it easy to see exactly where products are available, with customizable filtering for even greater clarity.
It’s a small part of the user journey, BarathRam clarifies, but an important one: “Even in a digital-first world, people still want to try things before they buy. If customers can quickly see where a product is available near them, it increases the chance they’ll choose you. Storemapper helps make that decision easier by putting your locations front and centre, right on your website. It’s all about accessibility and making it easy for people to take action.”

What’s next for Storemapper?
As Storemapper’s reach continues to grow, the team remains focused on expanding usability and versatility across platforms. Looking ahead, they plan to explore integrating with platforms like Yelp and Facebook to increase cohesiveness across channels.
They also plan to utilize AI features to improve search engine response and strengthen data insights for businesses looking to better understand customer behaviour online. The overall goal? According to BarathRam, continuous improvement:
“We’re always updating Storemapper to give customers the best possible value. Our goal is to make it a single hub for local SEO, where businesses can manage everything from one place and also reach their audience more successfully.”
With its reputation for user-friendliness and strong customer support, Storemapper continues to stay committed to simplicity and steady growth. And with this latest expansion toward a more global demographic, the platform is staying true to its mission of helping businesses reach their customers and grow with confidence.
